PORTALS Collection.

“Portal,” sets the tone for the entire 6-piece collection. It is inspired by an experience I had where I witnessed a strange rainbow-like archway in the canyons of Nevada. It appeared and was gone in a flash. It was as colorful as a rainbow, but it was in the dead of night and the striations were warped. I tried to recreate some semblance of it, highlighting the mystery and fascination of that event. I hope this piece reminds us that there are unexplained phenomena lurking in the unseen. And just because they are hidden from plain sight, does not mean that that magic isn’t there. Perhaps it is just waiting for an observer to realize it into existence.

Painted on wood panel and finished with a glossy sealant. Images are taken pre-sealed to avoid glare. Sawtooth hanger affixed onto back for hanging.
